My BeOS stuff:
Let's face it: it's been a long, long time since something so cool and promising as BeOS has come along! Although I do not really consider myself that much of a programmer, I want to do what I can to help BeOS get as much recognition as possible!
ABox - CL-Amp in a Web Browser
ABox is a collection of perl scripts which allow CL-Amp to be monitored/controlled from any network-accessable computer. It uses the program "clr" (by Mikael Jansson / Claes Löfqvist) to send commands to and fetch the status of CL-Amp.
Why make this? I have a PC dedicated to being my living room's stereo system, and I wanted to be able to control CL-Amp from any computer in the house. (also, I wanted to teach myself a little bit about perl)
Requirements:
- CL-Amp
- clr - use the updated version included in the ABox zip archive
- CGI-enabled web server - I use Robin Hood by Joe Kloss
- Perl - on the BeOS CD or at BeBits
Screenshots:
ABox takes CL-Amp playing like this . . .
. . . and turns it into this!
